Griddy Transitions All Members to POLR (Provider of Last Resort)
The impacts of the recent extreme winter weather in Texas have had widespread effects throughout the state and have resulted in unprecedented disruptions in the functioning of the Texas energy markets.
In direct response to the recent weather events and the PUC order to set wholesale prices at $9/kWh, Griddy Energy can no longer meet the necessary financial needs to remain a Texas energy provider, and is now required to follow the ERCOT policy of transitioning all of our members to the energy provider of last resort.
Effective immediately, all Griddy members will be switched to this new provider and no longer enrolled with Griddy energy service. More details will be provided by your new provider once the process has been initiated.
We sincerely hope that the Griddy vision of a more transparent, reliable and sustainable energy grid can be realized one day and we will continue to strive toward this goal.
